What are the Postive things you like about Blogging?

Standard

I know some of the possible down sides of blogging neck pain, shoulder pain, eye strain, time consuming and so on. Ive written a post with the question Do you think Blogging is Addictive? Funny didn’t get too much response on that one. My guess is maybe a little bit but so are a lot of things in Life.

So my Monday Question is… What are the positive things you personally get from Blogging? ?

  1. Javaueen Thank You so much it’s a really pretty Award and I like that it has a cup of coffee in it! Friends are my #1 reason why I Blog! I will post it a soon as I can get it together. More coffee! More coffee!

  2. I enjoy it about as much as I enjoy writing books/short stories, and I make more money at it (meaning I don’t lose money), have more readers, and get instant feedback — so what’s not to like? 😉

  3. The reason I started to blog was because I’d been going to a commercial blog and didn’t like the new direction it was going. AOL bought it out and it was getting to be about nothing but selling “Junk” and celeb stuff. So a few of us now gather at my blog. A lot of my readers came to mine from there and I’ve known a lot of them for 3 years or so.

I also really like talking about all the little things that despite our differences, are really all the same. We all put one sock on at a time and put our pants on one leg at a time and I love hearing the differences from others and it’s refreshing that in the end, we are more alike than we realize.

I also do it for the companionship and communication with other people. I live very isolated and love the friendships we’ve created. I was in a big happy blogging family for a good 7-8 months when my blog first started and for whatever reason, they have all but dwindled out. Some quit for a variety of reasons and there are still a few “around” but I really miss them. I realize they do have “real” lives but you really do get attached to people. This group we have now I just love and a little part of me is thinking things change and for reasons of your own, you may do the same and I’m really hoping that doesn’t happen. I love the way we have parties and these little animals, I’m really having a good time and I hope it never ends.

  4. I tend to start things and never finish them. I flit from one thing to another. A friend of my sister came to visit us and she introduced me to blogging. I had tried it once before but as usual I wrote two posts and then moved on.

Anyway I read my friend’s blog and decided to start one again. I had recently retired and was just coming out of a major depression and was blogging strictly for myself. I started reading blogs on my friend’s blogroll and leaving comments here and there. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed the interaction with fellow bloggers.

In my “real” life I always tended to be a loner and just hung out with my family. We are extremely close. I have an awesome, loving, small family.

I really loved branching out and meeting new people. I never would have thought that would happen. I also discovered I loved writing.

I have been blogging about 1 1/2 years and I absolutely feel it has added another layer to my life.

Now I have met dozens of people that I feel I really have a strong connection with. I truly care about what happens to them. They have made my family much larger.

I also just realized I write really long comments. I just don’t know when to shut up. 😉

  5. It’s brought me many friendships with all of you. If it weren’t for you guys on here and your blogs I’m not sure I would have made it through the winter. I’m either bipolar or manic depressive or a combo.

I use my blog as a place to vent about shit that’s pissing me off, celebrate the stuff that’s going good and just relax and chill with all of you 🙂

  6. i love the interaction with blogging. it’s great to get feedback from friends who you don’t see everyday and keep up with what’s happening in their lives. plus, it opens you up to new friends, new people, new places and new experiences. way cool!

downside? looking at a computer too much. thankfully that is lessened on my husband’s lovely mac!
