Grain Elevators

A couple of weeks ago we were driving by these giant grain elevators at sunset.  We stopped the car to take a few pictures.   I really liked the colors of the light blue sky and the orange pink around the bins.  Recently, a few days back we were driving by again and we could see an excavator biting a large hole into one of the grain elevators.  The very next day the bin was gone.  It was a reminder to me that when I see something I like and want to take a picture of it, to pull the car over and take the picture at that moment and to not put it off.  Because, who knows it might be gone next time around.  As you can see the last picture is missing the grain bin which was the grain bin in the first picture.

  1. Wow. First of all, awesome photos. Second…how ironic that you just caught them in the final light of their lives. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Hi,
So very true, sometimes things change very quickly, this also happens here in Australia as well. I love your photos, we have a few different type of grain elevators as well, but most of the ones here are concrete. 😀

  3. So true Starla. Those shots have to be taken. I have also seen changes in my area too fast! The world needs to slow down, right? Have a fun week blogging. Try to stay awake. lol Hi to Navar. 🙂

  4. I love all of these shots. Such a great mood in them. And of course the colours and the light are just delightful. A really like the combination of the four photographs, but my favourite would still be the first one,
