I hope you had a good weekend. I wonder what the week will bring?
Here are a few photos I took over the weekend. The photos with people I took on our drive Saturday to Slippery Ann Elk viewing area to listen to the Elk Bugle. We had a great time watching the elk so close up and listening to the bugling it did not disappoint. I will put up a few photos in the near future of that trip. Anyway the cowboy and cowgirl photos I took from our moving car as we were flying down the highway on the trip there. Navar driving, pointing and saying “Look they are rounding up cattle.” Rolling down the window and pointing the camera out the window ( carefully holding the camera more inside the window than outside the window). Not wanting to lose the camera to the road. I’ve been wanting to tell you about a fun creative project for a while, hopefully I can explain it Ok. You may have already tried this way of taking pictures before, but if not I will do my best to explain it. Also if you have not tried this before using a small camera is best. I call it drive by photography. As I rolled the window down I could hear the sharp short whistle from the working cowgirls and cowboys as we were driving by it was very exciting. I immediately felt like I was on the range. Usually when I try taking photos from a moving car it’s more of a blur. I think of it as a fun creative project instead of an official photo shoot. If you’ve never tried this before I can tell you it’s really fun and it can also be very rewarding. I know it sounds simple so the benefits could be easily overlooked. I think in one way that it has changed my photography by making me more relaxed and more open to the idea of seeing other possibilities when I’m taking a photo. Instead of just seeing what I think might be a good photograph. As you are flying down the highway of course sitting in the passenger seat not the drivers side now that really would be distracted driving. Seeing interesting old or new buildings or different shapes and colors and just snapping photos and having fun. The big part is just having fun, chances are you will be deleting most of these images. Seeing things burr by and clicking as fast you can almost like watching moving paintings going by. It’s not ment to capture sharp photos, but to loosen up the ways of seeing. As I click I may take a photo in a very different way then I would normally and some times when I look back at these images there are surprises, buildings or telephone poles that I would not normally think to put in a picture but some how it works. It’s a fun creative project when you are bored going from point A to point B. The two photos without people I took yesterday while waiting for Navar as he was talking on his cel phone. This time I got out of the car and took more time with the photos. It was nice to watch the light change as the clouds rolled by changing the colors of the field from tan to the bright yellow.
The slide show is a little slow so if you would like to just hit the arrow to the right to go faster through the photos it won’t hurt by feelings. We almost missed the fair this year. We had such a big TO DO list this Summer. Driving by I said” Lets just stop for just a little bit so I can look at the Dahlias and the Gladiolus. ” My favorite exhibit at least for the last few years is the flower competition. I also enjoyed looking at the animals and the photography exhibits. Fair Food What kind of fair food do you like? Funnel cakes, cotton candy, corn dogs, deep-fried butter? Have you ever had deep-fried butter? I haven’t. I know at the fair they try to fry anything and everything. I enjoyed the flower most of all the different colors this year so many unique shades. Going around from flower to flower zooming in from color to color after a while it felt like I was falling into the flowers it was completely joyful. Did you go to the fair this year? What are your favorite things to do at the fair? Do you eat fair food or do you have better sense? Navar wanted to go on the breastfeeding ride. I had to grab his shirt and pull him back saying “It’s not a ride!” They were selling shirts that said Yay Boobies! So he said “How about a shirt ?”

I really like this idea, YouTube concerts. I just found this as I was bouncing around YouTube videos today. We watched a Live Bono concert from YouTube a few months back, it was actually pretty fun to be a part of such a huge concert. Have you ever watched one of these concerts on-line? I can get in the mood. I’m ready to dance! Yipppeeee! I’m excited. This is a Youtube <a href=" “>musician that I stumbled on to a few months back she was discovered because of her YouTube channel. I’ll be on line tonight watching. Hope to see you there!

I wanted to give you the readers of this Blog a little shout out of Appreciation! Thank You for stopping by, I really appreciate the company. It’s as if you are visiting my world, and I feel as if I have friends in several parts of the globe, how nice. I’m grateful that you come by. I really appreciate those of you that comment. Comments and feedback and interaction really make blogging fun! I also appreciate the Lookie Lou’s and the peek a boo’s the ones who come by in a whoosh and are gone with out a word. I see you! :+) Thank You as well. Maybe someday you will also jump in, really the waters fine, and I promise not to bite. I took this picture of this sign at the cherry Blossom Festival it’s an old sign and has been probably hanging on their wall a very long time.
For some of you this is a big What? But for those of you who are a little older what happened to our hope for the future to be completely Bionic? Unfortunately, as a youth I watched quiet a bit of TV, For some reason, I must be feeling a little nostalgic today. Not sure why. What were some of your favorite shows as a kid? Brady bunch, partridge family, How about The wild kingdom of Omaha? After school special, Courtship of Eddy’s father I did really like that one, and That Girl. I’ll stop, I told you I watched a lot of TV as a kid.
Looking for something fun to do this week-end? How about finger painting? I found this link the other day and I thought that she did a nice job with it, putting together information and inspiring a person to dip in or delve into Art. Actually it’s been awhile since I’ve done any panting. I think my main creative focus has been taking pictures and blogging. I haven’t finger painted since, well probably since I was 5 or 6. I’m probably over due, could be a fun out-door project. I like to paint with music on, Navar likes to paint as well maybe I can get him to join me in some painting fun. I know we will probably go to the Cherry Blossom Festival, eat pie and listen to outdoor music, I’m looking forward to that. I have a huge TO DO list Mow the lawn, first time this year, fill the hummingbird feeder, weed the small garden, pick up poop, just seeing if your still reading. Hopefully I can fit all this in this into the week-end. Do you have a huge TO DO list for Spring cleanup? Well, I’ll see you back here Monday, same Bat channel same Bat time. Hope you have a busy and fun week-end!
Super cute video at TripinwithRip Blog. A very unique, creative, and fun blog. If you are in for some smiles hop on over to my friends Lynn an Rip’s. Check out this cute video “Breakfast at Ginger’s” at their blog. Another little hop if you’re in the mood is to S.L.e’s blog her blog very creative and unusual. Once you’ve arrived, scroll down a little bit and move your mouse over the mail slot, once probably won’t be enough. You can also catch a little Monte Python as well. She is on vacation with her husband celebrating their anniversary so maybe let her know you stopped by, leave a little note on your way out. So when she comes home she will have some extra sweet faces staring back at her. It’s a small silly surprise but isn’t that what we are looking for small silly surprises. Let me know if you have any blog hopping ideas for next Wednesday.
